Gaelic Song on Ashen Stone

There were remnants of ancient stone walls and dwellings on many of the landscapes we visited. While hiking through these areas I could almost hear the whispers of the generations past. A way of life dependent on the earth, sea, and weather.  I sensed the ancientness of these areas and somehow wanted something in the painting representative of that which was and the beauty that remained.  I used ashes and Gaelic text to represent that theme.
